Nepal Owl Festival 2020- A successful effort to save the owls of Nepal.
Nepal is home to 22 species of owls but they are heavily hunted and traded, nationally as well as internationally making them one among top ten traded species in Nepal.Friends of Nature, Nepal
From a conservative point of view, birds like owls are important to monitor. For that reason, Nepal Owl Festival was organized to carry out the fusion of entertainment, an introduction to the local culture and owl conservation activities. The event highlighted the importance and conservation issues of owls as well as provided all the participants with an opportunity to enjoy nature, local culture and take away the message of owl conservation.
We’re proud to have been associated as a partner for this Environment and Humanitarian Action and would like to Congratulate the Rangbhang Club, Millennium Trek Management Committee and Friends of Nature Nepal- the co-organizers of the festival for being successful in organizing Nepal Owl Festival 2020.
The event, which is one-of-a-kind in Asia was organized at Rangbhang of Syangja district (which is also a part of the Millennium Trekking Route) on the 7th and 8th of February, 2020.
